Science Fiction Saturday (EVCON) was a fund-raiser held during the [[VCON hiatus]] in memory of [[Vancouver]] [[fan]] [[Evelyn Beheshti]] who, before she died of AIDS, had helped to found the Positive Women's Network.  It was held May 27, 1995 at the Biltmore Hotel in [[Vancouver, BC]].

The GoH was [[William Gibson]] who was just back from a multi-day tour of various world cities promoting his movie ''Johnny Mnemonic.''
