Mordor in '64 was a [[hoax bid]] with an ad in the [[Detention]] [[PR]] 4 that seems to have been run by [[Bruce Pelz]].  (The Detention ad supported [[Philadelphia in 1960]], with a note "But Philly in '60" on the ad.)  He planned to speak at the [[Pittcon]] [[Business meeting]] for Mordor.
