A WSFA-sponsored Worldcon bid for Washington, DC, in 1950, which advertised in the Cinvention program book. It lost to Portland in 1950, a bid by the Portland Science-Fantasy Society for NorWesCon. See 1950 Site Selection.
They apparently bid again in the 1951 Site Selection and lost to New Orleans in 1951.
