A fan fund, originally named the Trans-Atlantic Fish Fund , intended to pay to bring Leslie Fish to Contabile in 1988. Due to the (intended) similarity in name with TAFF, it was more often referred to as the Flying Fish Fund. After the convention, it was continued for purposes of bringing other international filkers to UK conventions. Lawrence Dean wrote a song to promote it, and At the Sign of the Dragon donated part of their sales.
Gytha North administrated it after Contabile, until 1995, after which Robert Maughan ran it for a year, followed by Lissa Allcock. The name was abbreviated to the Filk Fund in 1995, and it was merged with the Filk Convention Management Fund (used similarly to Worldcon Pass-Along Funds) in 2009.
