Spacecon 1 was held July 20-22, 1979 at the Holiday Inn in Wapakoneta, OH. (Wapakoneta was Neil Armstrong's birthplace, and the hotel was next door to the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum.) The GoH was Kelly Freas.
