Rowena Morrill

Rowena A. Morrill was an American artist of SF and fantasy. Her monographs included The Fantastic Art of Rowena, Imagine (in France), Imagination (in Germany), and The Art of Rowena. Her work has also been included in several anthologies, including Tomorrow and Beyond and Infinite Worlds.

She was Artist GoH for Chicon 7, the 70th World Science Fiction Convention, held in 2012. She was unable to attend due to health reasons.

She received some unwanted notoriety after the second Gulf War when it was discovered that Saddam Hussein had acquired a number of her paintings and hung them in his private "retreat".

She is credited under multiple names, including Rowena, Rowena Morrill, and Rowina Morril.

Morrill died of cardiac arrest.
