Contata 5 (which was also NEFilk 18) was a filk convention held June 20-22, 2008 in Parsippany, NJ. It was one of the Contata series of NEFilk conventions. GoH: Heather Dale, Listener Guest: Crystal Paul, Retro GoH: Carla Ulbrich, Interfilk Guests: Nate Bucklin and Louie Bucklin. Chair: Merav Hoffman. Toastmaster: Tom Smith.
Due to an injury, Tom Smith was unable to attend. Carla Ulbrich was invited as Retro GoH and stand-in toastmaster. Christine Lavin (at whose concert Tom was injured) MC'ed the benefit concert for Tom Smith.
