VCON 21, the first VCON after the VCON hiatus, was held May 17-19, 1996 at the Delta Pacific Resort in Richmond, BC. The GoH was Kim Stanley Robinson and William Gibson was Fan GoH. R. Graeme Cameron was toastmaster, it was chaired by Palle Hoffstein & David New and the theme was "Mars wins." The convention came close to breaking even with a budget around $20K.
