The Index of Science Fiction Magazines 1951-1965

This index, compiled by Norman (Norm) Metcalf, was published in 1968 by J. Ben Stark, El Cerrito, California.

It was 253 pages in length, and consisted of author, title, artist, and editor indexes, plus a list of magazines covered, a checklist, a list of abbreviations used, and an errata/addenda for the earlier 1926-1950 index by Donald B. Day.

Cover art was by Vaughn Bodé.

Its publication seems to have been fraught. Norm Metcalf and J. Ben Stark teamed up with to produce it with Metcalf doing the research and Stark the publishing. Metcalf seems to have been a perfectionist. Stark eventually gave up on waiting for him to finish and published what he had and Metcalf never forgave him.
