Speculation

(1) A Fanzine by Peter Weston

A fanzine edited by Peter Weston which began in October 1963 under the name Zenith. In its first four issues it included a "Fanorama" column that Walt Willis had previously done for the British prozine Nebula and then for Robert Lichtman's fanzine Psi-Phi. With its tenth issue, Zenith became Zenith-Speculation and finally Speculation in October 1966. A special issue of Speculation was included in the Thirdmancon Combozine in April 1968.

Speculation lasted until 1976 and received Hugo nominations for Best Fanzine in 1965, 1966, 1970, and 1971 and was the 1973 Nova award winner for Best Fanzine. It placed third in the Checkpoint Fan Poll for 1971/72.
