Published by The Nameless Ones, A club in Seattle, Washington, Sinisterra was the club's first fanzine; but it appeared under this title for only 8 issues. After the mid-1950s, Cry of the Nameless became the club's main publication, winning the 1960 Best Fanzine Hugo.
An interesting feature of Sinisterra was the inclusion of photographs on the covers and/or interior pages.
