Sherlock Holmes

(b. January 5, 1854)

A London-based consulting detective prominent in the late 19th and early 20th century whose exploits were fictionalized by his close friend Dr. John H. Watson. Holmes would have been a fan if fandom had existed then and must be considered a proto-fan. It seems likely he contributed to the letter columns of the prozines in the 1930s under an assumed name.

As recounted by Mack Reynolds in the short memoir "The Martian Client" his present whereabouts are unknown.
