Ray C. Higgs

(November 8, 1906 — October 1975)

Ray C. Higgs (known as Racy) was a member of The National Fantasy Fan Federation (N3F) and a member of its Board, and was editor of the club's principal fanzine during 1947-1949, and then again in the 1950s. For a time he also edited Postwarp. He received the first Kaymar Award in 1959.

Higgs was very active in fandom during the 1940s-1950s, belonging to SAPS, NAPA, FAPA, and VAPA, in addition to N3F. He published Arion, Chairman Sneary of B. D. Says, Dis and Dat, Fan Den, Fantasia, His and Hers, Ysatnaf, and some issues of Explorer for the ISFCC and of the National Fantasy Fan and Postwarp for the N3F.

He lived in Connersville, Indiana.

His many activities in fandom are chronicled in Harry Warner's All Our Yesterdays (1969) and A Wealth of Fable (1992).
