Olaf Stapledon

(May 10, 1886 – September 6, 1950)

William Olaf Stapledon, known as Olaf Stapledon, was a British philosopher and author of influential works of SF.

In 2014, he was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame. He was Historical GoH at Readercon 21 in 2010.

He is remembered today primarily for his early SF novels: Last and First Men (1930), Last Men in London (1932), Odd John (1935), and Star Maker (1937).
