NorWesCon

(Did you mean the Seattle or the Portland convention?))

The 1950 Worldcon was held September 1-3, 1950 at the Multnomah Hotel in Portland, OR. (It was originally announced for an American Legion Hall, but the site was moved to the Multnomah Hotel between PR1 and PR2.) The GoH was Anthony Boucher.

Donald Day replaced Jack de Courcy as Chairman after the latter's resignation. Theodore Sturgeon was the toastmaster and had the title "Entertainment Master of Ceremonies."

Bidders: Capicon in '50, New Orleans in 1950, a New York City bid, and the Portland bid. See 1950 Site Selection results for details.
