MysteryKon was a convention held in Houston, TX. After MysteryKon 7, the committee split with the larger part turning what would have been MysteryKon 8 into Con Tex 1 under the aegis of the Friends of Fandom. The rump of MysteryKon continued to advertise MysteryKon 8 with Con Tex 1's Guests and date. See File 770 41, p. 19.
