The Maine Scientifiction Association, formed at a meeting of fans in 1939 at the state fair, and including notable Jim Avery, Jerry Meader, and Norm Stanley. It was the van of the "era of state organizations, but got into trouble when its Official Organ published an article in which untrue allegations were made about Street & Smith being near the reefs.

Its Official Organ was The MSA Bulletin.

The club was "revived" by Claude Degler as part of his Cosmic Circle organization in 1943 when he visited Jim Avery who was home on leave.

Club
This is a club page. Please extend it by adding information about when and where the club met, when and by whom it was founded, how long it was active, notable accomplishments, well-known members, clubzines, any conventions it ran, external links to the club's website, other club pages, etc.

When there's a floreat (Fl.), this indicates the time or times for which we have found evidence that the club existed. This is probably not going to represent the club's full lifetime, so please update it if you can!
