Windycon 45 was held November 9-11, 2018 at the Westin Lombard in Lombard, IL. Author GoH was Faith Hunter, Artist GoH was Galen Dara, Costuming GoH was Kevin Roche, Music GoH was Jen Midkiff, and Fan GoH was Bobbi Armbruster. Andrew Trembley served as Toastmaster.
Other Special Guests were Authors Bill Fawcett, Eric Flint, Phyllis Eisenstein, Elizabeth Anne Hull, Jody Lynn Nye, and Mike Resnick, Filker Tom Smith, and Fan Alex Eisenstein.
The theme was "Unlikely Heroes". The co-chairs were gundo and Kerry Kuhn, and the designated Charity was DuPage Habitat for Humanity.
