An American Tolkien scholar who is a member of the Mythopoeic Society and The Tolkien Society. He was GoH at Mythcon XXVIII. He is married to fellow scholar Christina Scull and helped her published The Tolkien Collector. He has written a large number of books and publications on J. R. R. Tolkien, his works and the other members of the Inklings.
