A Bay Area fan. He has been a member of LASFS. He was nominated for the 1971 Best Fan Writer Hugo and the 1972 Best Fan Writer Hugo. He published the apazines Probably Something for APA-L and Minneapa, and Silicon Soapware for web and email distribution. He was a member of TAPS.

He was GoH at ConFrancisco, the 1993 Worldcon, and Tom Digby Along Fantasy Way was published in his honor.
