Timothy Zahn is an American writer of SF and fantasy. He is known primarily for the Thrawn series of Star Wars novels, and has published several other series of SF and fantasy novels. He has also published several standalone genre novels and four collections of short fiction.

He was at one time a member of ChUSFA.
