The Spirit of Fandom is a fairy, "a girl of wondrous beauty and shining with a light brighter than the midday sun" in The Enchanted Duplicator, who anoints Jophan with the Wand of Contact, so that he discovers the existence of Fandom and embarks on his journey to find the magic mimeograph and become a Trufan.
