Ruth Newbury, a fan from Portland, Oregon, was active in the 1940s and ’50s. She was a member of the Portland Science-Fantasy Society and served as treasurer on the 1950 Worldcon, NorWesCon. She also belonged to the Contraterrans, according to the 1950 Fan Directory.

She pubbed INCINERATIONS -- from effigy with Forrest C. Davis in 1950.
