When Polly Freas' cancer became known in mid-1979, Margaret Middleton organized PollyAPA, a one-shot, get-well-card APA presented to her at Northamericon.

Hand-drawn cards were encouraged. They would appear in the apa in the order received. It was in an 8.5x11 binder. Smaller contributions were pasted to full-size sheets; larger contributions folded.
