Paul Barnett (who also wrote under the pseudonym John Grant) was a Scottish sf and fantasy author and editor living in the US from 1999. He was Technical Editor for The Science Fiction Encyclopedia and co-edited the The Encyclopedia of Fantasy for which he won a Hugo and World Fantasy Award
