Orma McCormick, a Detroit-area fan and poet, was a member of the Misfits and the N3F. In the 1950s, she published Starlanes, an sf poetry fanzine, with Nan Gerding. She was poetry editor of Ray C. Higgs' fanzine Arion and a contributor to many others.

In 1951, she was named the Poet Laureate of the National Fantasy Fan Federation. She was active at least to the mid-1960s.

In mundania, her poetry appeared in Selected American Poets, an anthology of modern verse, and she was included in Who's Who in American Poetry Today.
