A Worldcon bid run by Mike Sinclair which charmed fandom with its brilliant and friendly parties (and Mardi Gras beads and Hurricanes). It beat Cincinnati in '88, the Bermuda Triangle Bid and St. Louis in '88 at the site selection vote administered by ConFederation and ran Nolacon II. See 1988 Worldcon Site Selection for details.

To the surprise of some, the bid committee had little to do with running the resulting Worldcon.
