Bibliographer Neil Barron published five editions of his bibliography/reference work Anatomy of Wonder editions of which were nominated for the 1982 Best Non-Fiction Book Hugo and the 1988 Best Non-Fiction Book Hugo. He was also the founder and first editor of Science Fiction & Fantasy Book Review 1979-1980, and edited again when it was revived by the SFRA in 1982-83. After publishing the final edition of Anatomy of Wonder, Barron dropped out of the community.

He died in Las Vegas, Nevada.
