Mordor in '64 was a hoax bid with an ad in the Detention PR 4 that seems to have been run by Bruce Pelz. (The Detention ad supported Philadelphia in 1960, with a note "But Philly in '60" on the ad.) He planned to speak at the Pittcon Business meeting for Mordor.
