An LA area bookseller and con-running fan. He has worked on Loscons (including chairing Loscon 4), Westercons, and Worldcon. He was one of the founders of the Michigan State University Science Fiction Society and was active in the Michigan State University Tolkien Fellowship. He is a member of LASFS.

Fanzines included being an editor of Agent of Vagueness while at MSU, and apazines for APA-L and LASFAPA.

He is a leader of the upcoming Terminus in 23,309 Worldcon bid.
