Originally a Chicago fan who published the fanzine Tomorrow And.... He attended fannish gatherings at the home of George Price, where he met Lynne Aronson, whom he eventually married.

Mark and Lynne were among the founders of Windycon and chaired the first three convention, eventually returning as Guests of Honor for Windycon XV and XXX.

He and his wife eventually left Chicago for the wilds of Cincinnati.

In the 1990s, Aronson published a handful of stories in professional markets.
