Since 1995, she has been co-owner, with her ex-husband and fellow fan [[Dave Bridges]], of [[Astral Castle]], an [[sf bookstore]] and [[games]] shop in Midland, TX. Linda Blanchard is a Texas fanzine fan who was very active in the early 1980s. She is one of several fans who appear in the fan-fiction story, "Visit to a Small Factory" by Marc Ortlieb, which originally appeared in Holier Than Thou #25. Her writing appeared in Fanthology '93.

Originally from Connecticut and Massachusetts, she studied at Iowa State University before enlisting for a term in the U.S. Navy. Since 1995, she has been co-owner, with her ex-husband and fellow fan Dave Bridges, of Astral Castle, an sf bookstore and games shop in Midland, TX. The couple were married from 1986–2015; they have two children.
