Australian author and conrunner. Co-chair of Conflux, with Karen Herkes, from 2015 to 2018, and chair of that convention in 2019. Co-chair of Australia 2025 Worldcon bid and/or the proposed convention.

Genre author Shallcross says that she writes "mostly fairy tales and dark fantasy, with the occasional bit of soft sci fi thrown in for good measure."

Her first novel, The Beast's Heart, was published by Hodder & Stoughton in May 2018. It was a finalist for a Ditmar Award.
