Kate Hatcher was a Utah fan who chaired the Utah for 2019 NASFiC bid and Spikecon (the resultant convention, which was also the 2019 Westercon).
Hatcher, and her husband, fellow fan Ben Hatcher, found fandom when they joined the LTUE committee before Westercon LXVII in 2014 and she wound up creating its program.
She died of pneumonia.
