(1963 -- )

A Washington, DC-area con-running fan who has worked one numerous regionals and Worldcons. He found fandom in 1978. He has served multiple terms as president of the Washington Science Fiction Association -- and was Hotel Liaison for Dripclave. He was responsible for programming at BucConeer, the 1998 Worldcon in Baltimore.

With his wife, Kathi Overton, he helped create the long-running television series Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction in 1989.

He was written several fannish musicals, including Smoflahoma and The Pirates of Fenzance.

In his day job, John is an attorney specializing in the law governing tax-exempt organizations and has advised several Worldcon committees on such issues.
