It's not clear if Joan Domnick was a fan, but she was associated with the infamous Claude Degler and was part of the Cosmic Circle. Harry Warner, Jr. says in All Our Yesterdays that Joan Domnick was a teen-age girl recruited by Degler for the purpose of creating a new master-race of Cosmic Men, but that townsmen prevented her from starting the super-race with Degler. She was head of the Cosmen's Psychological Ministry because she was reading a book on psychology.

She occasionally wrote for Degler's fanzines under the penname of Helen Bradleigh.
