James M. Briggs is a fan and con-runner living in the San Diego area who found fandom in 1976 and became active in con-running in 1996. He chaired Conzilla (Westercon 59 in San Diego. He has worked on numerous other conventions and on the LA in 2006 Worldcon bid committee. He chaired the San Diego in 2006 Westercon bid. He is a member of CAASM, SCIFI, LASFS, SDSFC and SFSFC.
