(1911 -- 2006)

Coggins was an artist, mainly for prozines in the 1950s. He specialized in astronomical art and paintings of spaceships and also worked on books on space travel with Fletcher Pratt.

After his SF work, he wrote and illustrated books on military history, and taught art.
