A fan and filker in the Boston area who has been active since the mid-70s. He was the founder of MASSFILC, the Boston-area filk club. He helped form ConCertino and chaired ConCertino 1992, and ran or co-ran filk at a number of Boskones, Noreascon II, MagiCon, and Noreascon 3. He was one of the four founders of Interfilk and was a member of Critical Mass. For many years, he taped filk at conventions -- often also providing general technical support for the convention. He founded Love Song Productions to produce filk albums. He was inducted into the Filk Hall of Fame in 1997 and was Toastmaster of ConCerto 1990. He is married to Persis Thorndike.
