Fannishly, Ireland is often viewed as the island, a combination of the Republic and Northern Ireland. Activity is concentrated in Dublin which hosts the Irish National convention Octocon and hosted Dublin 2019 Worldcon, and Belfast with Titancon (and in the past Irish Fandom and MeCons).
