The names of the two Glasgow Worldcons (Interaction and Intersection) were so confusing that the term Interthingy came to be used for both Interthingy 1 and Interthingy 2. Having gotten that far, it's only natural that the unconfusing Loncon 3 would be known as LondonThingy.
