Casey is the founder of Parents Basement Productions and has produced, directed, written, and performed in two short films: Teddy's Big Escape and Young Geeks In Love. Casey has been the president and vice-president of the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society (PSFS), as well as on the board of directors.
He served as vice-chair of Philcon in 2002 and the chair the following year. He spent many subsequent years running Philcon's programming.
