(? -?)

Herbert Warnes, also known as Bert Warnes and at least once (and seemingly erroneously) as Henry Warnes, was a fan from Leeds active in the 1930s.

He attended the 1937 Leeds Convention where he was the chairman and he printed its souvenir booklet.

He was chairman of the Leeds branch of the Science Fiction Association and attended the Second British Convention in London in 1938 where he was called on to report on their activities:

‘Mr. Warnes … admirably sidestepped the responsibility by saying that better reports than he could deliver were printed each month in Novae Terrae. However, he mentioned the interesting and profound debates that were held each month; and dwelt for a few minutes upon the other side of their Branch activities – that connected with the producing of Tomorrow, Amateur Science Stories etc.’
