E. van Vogt]] (before he got into [[Dianetics]]).  It initially made a great impact on [[fandom]], but as it was terribly over-sold, it disappeared just as quickly, joining [[technocracy]] and [[Esperanto]] as a faddish enthusiasm of [[fandom's]] youth.
