The name given to the emotional outpouring Christopher J. Garcia experienced when his fanzine, The Drink Tank, won the 2011 Best Fanzine Hugo at Renovation. Video of the experience went viral and by the end of the convention the next day, people were making reference to having "Garcia Moments."
Garcia relates that while flying to FenCon in September 2011, that two German passengers across the aisle from him were watching the video of the Garcia Moment on the plane and kept looking over at him.
The Garcia Moment was nominated for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form Hugo Category in 2012.
