Elsie Janda, also “Else”, an Illinois fan, served on the concom of Chicon II in 1952. With Jane Quirk and Frances Hamling, she ran Registration. By many accounts, it did not go well — fans complained that the process took hours.

She was among 23 fans who attended Michicon 4 in 1944 and she was also at First Post-Radar-Contact-with-the-Moon Con in 1946. She was a member of several Worldcons, and belonged to the N3F.
