(February 16, 1925 – July 27, 1990)
One of the major and most prolific sf pro artists during the 50s and 60s, particularly known for his covers for Galaxy, F&SF, and Ace Books. He was married to Carol Emshwiller and signed his work as "Emsh". During the 70s and 80s he turned more towards film. Luis Ortiz was written and published a biography of Emshwiller, Infinity x Two.
