Disclave 27 was held Memorial Day weekend, May 28-30, 1983. The GoH was George R. R. Martin, and Jack Gaughan was Art GoH. Marnie Montgomery was Featured Artist.
It was again necessary to move hotels and this time Disclave went down the road to the Marriott Twin Bridges near National Airport in Arlington, VA. As you might expect, the hotel was less than ideal. The jets overhead was not quite as bad as the tortured construction of the function space and the flooding on the roads which made it difficult to walk to food (all distant). It was chaired by Alan Huff and 1100 attended.
Darrell Schweitzer had a short con report in File 770 33, p. 21.
