Derek Carter was a fan artist living in the Toronto area who was active primarily in the 1960s. His work appeared in many fanzines and some of it has been collected in The Derek Carter Alphabet and And Lo God Made Rotsler for Duff

He illustrated the SF comic 'Operation Missile' in 1968, which was one of the first publications in the Canadian underground scene. More a fan artist than an underground artist, he also published in the periodical Andromeda.
