John L. Coker III founded a publishing company in 1996 called Days of Wonder Publishers. The company was formed to bring out a book by Coker on the life of his friend David A. Kyle.
The book, A Life of Science Fiction Ideas and Dreams, appeared in a limited edition of 50 hardcover copies, signed by Kyle, Forrest J Ackerman (who wrote the introduction) and editor Coker. There also was a deluxe edition, slipcased, of 26 lettered copies (and four presentation copies), each book signed by all of the contributors.
Both editions sold out quickly.
